“I retired a few years ago & took up some activities to fill the void, one being Art Classes with Elaine Cunningham in Cruthú Studio located at Cois Chlair in Claregalway. Over the year this has become “My Happy Time Space” for 3 hours each week I can lose myself in my painting with the expert guidance of Elaine. My family & friends have reaped the benefits of those classes & I’ve even managed to make prints from a painting or two. 

This year our group “the Arches Artists” (with Elaine’s help) have been chosen to exhibit a selection of our work at the Galway City Library in November. 

When I think back now to when I started with Elaine (2013) I’ve gained a lot of knowledge & confidence with my painting - I was one of those who hadn’t a clue what to do that first evening - but I was certainly put at ease when I landed at Cruthú Studio & I haven’t looked back - roll on more happy painting hours with Elaine.”
